TACKLE FOOTBALL
Scotlandville Sports Academy participates in the Louisiana Youth Football League. The Scotlandville Sports Academy organizes four (4) age groups of Scotlandville Sports Academy Hornets Tackle Football Teams (D-League: 5-6, Division A: 7-8, Division AA: 9-10, Division AAA: 11-12) serving youth boys ages 5 through 13. Football practice is held daily from 5:30 p.m. -7:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday at the Scotlandville - 72nd Street BREC Park located in the local neighborhood. Games are held on Saturday mornings & Sunday evenings at varies Baton Rouge Recreational & High School facilities.

NFL FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Scotlandville Sports Academy has teamed with the National Football League to offer the Scotlandville Sports Academy/Saints Flag Football League. Instead of the physical contact and heavy gear from the Tackle Football League, the NFL Flag Football League uses tear-away flags. This provides an opportunity for more inexperience youths to develop an understanding of football, as well as enhance their self-esteem. The NFL provides promotional material, insurance, and uniforms included in the NFL's participation registration fees. The Scotlandville Sports Academy will organize the league serving youth boys & girls ages 4 through 8, with priority on those youth from the low-income neighborhood of Scotlandville. The Scotlandville - 72nd Street BREC Park serves as the game site, which will take place on Sunday afternoons September through November.
