Youth Coaches Alliance has started their initiatives
to improve the quality of life by partnering with
BREC to enhance the quality of the Junior
Tackle Football program offered to the East Baton
Rouge Parish communities. The restructured program
formed from this partnership is called the Louisiana
Youth Football. In our inaugural
season (2005), we had44 registered teams ,
approximately 1100 registered youth
(ranging from 7 yrs old to 13 yrs old), and approximately
300 volunteer coaches . These numbers
were impressive for established youth activities, so
we were excited about our accomplishments thus far
and delighted to share this with the citizens of Baton
Rouge & Louisiana.
Any student athlete who maintained a 3.0 or better
GPA during the season was named to the 2005
Louisiana Youth Football All State Academic Team
for each division. These student athletes were nominated
by their coach for consideration. An official report
card or progress report accompanied the nomination.
The 2005 Louisiana Youth Football
All State Academic Teams were recognized
during halftime of each Louisiana Youth Football Championship
Series championship game.
